a new record of eight eyekon characters finished at once. those other ones are stubborn about coming along, but they are almost done. several others are coming along also. sold a couple pieces locally, including a drawing for a good price which is usually a harder sale. i've had to put etsy on hold as my rep on ebay is already built and waiting until after the holidays to build a new rep makes more sense. i had considered a show i was offered for next summer but decided against it. no others planned for 2008, and i'm not sure i really want to show locally for awhile. out of state makes more sense right now and i'm in the process of negotiating that with a couple spots. i like the infamy in my home town, even though i'm under the radar of the "art crowd" for the most part. i've a strong feeling for integrity in what i do, which only grows stronger as i watch people say or do anything publicly to get some sort of show or sale. i don't see how thats an honest approach to making art and being an artist, but hey, let them have it. i go by if i'm enjoying making things or not, and i often sell to folks who are genuine and beautiful people, which makes me feel good. been back at drawing more too, and am trying to make the drawing meet the painting more and more, at which point i feel some magic shows. thanks for stopping by, and i'll see you soon.
